Frome Voices

singing together

Frome Voices is a community-based choir, open to all singers, with or without choral experience. We enjoy the challenge of learning and performing music to a high standard, whilst having some fun and making new friends along the way.

Frome Voices is now taking to the concert stage again with a glorious programme of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The highlight of the evening will be Mozart’s unforgettably powerful Requiem, with soloists, and orchestra led by Maxim Del Mar.

The programme will also include the ever-popular Ave Verum Corpus and Laudate Dominum, as well as an unusual Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra, performed by bassoonist Andrew Huntriss.  The concert will be conducted by Alan Burgess.

Tickets are available from the Cheese and Grain (with admin fee) or directly from choir members.

We are currently recruiting singers, particularly sopranos, tenors and basses.

Rehearsals will run on Friday evenings from 13th January, in Frome. If you would like to join our friendly, welcoming choir, please do get in touch.

'Last night was a triumph – well done!! Everyone I spoke to was bowled over by the achievement of blending all those components together so successfully in only a few rehearsals. I just love the community spirit it evoked.'
