In 2017 we returned to oratorio with an exciting performance of Saul.  This was new to almost all the choir, but familiarity generated a great appreciation for this lovely work and its dramatic Biblical story of King Saul and young David, after the slaying of the giant Goliath.

It reflects many of the emotions we experience today, through the moving and ultimately tragic relationship between these two famous historical figures.
